Our classes examined the artwork and style of famous artist, Ted Harrison. We created our own Ted Harrison inspired art pieces to represent the regions of Canada we have been studying. Welcome back to another rigorous week of learning!

We have been busy investigating classroom chemistry with two different experiments today. Share with a family member how we made crystals using Borax laundry detergent, pipe cleaners and hot water. Explain what happened when we mixed a solid (the laundry detergent) with a liquid (water), and how it changed when it cooled. What are other examples of crystals?

We also began exploring cookie chemistry! Share with a family member examples of mechanical mixtures and solution mixtures when we were baking our chocolate chip cookies.
