We began our study of newspaper articles today. Share with a family member our investigation of newspaper articles in class and components of an excellent article. What connections to previous learning did you make? Look at an article on one of our current event websites. Did this article answer the 5W's (who, what, when, where, why)?

Thank you Jaclyn from Little Green Thumb for your expertise with our photosynthesis experiment this afternoon! We are looking forward to creating a classroom garden in room 5 for the grade 5/6 classes. In our continued study of the historical fiction novel, Underground to Canada, to enhance our comprehension we have been responding to critical thinking questions on a daily basis. Alberta Made Pancake Breakfast on Friday,
TOMORROW March 6th!
Students will be served a breakfast and they have an option to choose
from; pancakes, syrup, eggs, pork sausage and white milk. Students
who have a pork free diet will not be offered sausages. There will be no
breakfast club on March 6th. Breakfast will be served at 9:00 am and
then all students will meet in the gym for a presentation about
nutrition.
